The talk will describe techniques to schedule workflows with energy constraints on platforms where frequency scaling can be used (some cloud providers already offer resources priced by CPU frequency). The problem is how to complete the execution of a workflow within a deadline still minimizing the amount of energy consumed using frequency scaling. Algorithms, experimental results and ongoing work will be presented. This is joint work with my PhD student Ilia Pietri.
